{"id":1804,"date":"2019-05-06T11:38:53","date_gmt":"2019-05-06T09:38:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wpress.ca.infn.it\/?page_id=1804"},"modified":"2019-11-26T11:07:34","modified_gmt":"2019-11-26T10:07:34","slug":"the-aggiornamenti-course-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wpress.ca.infn.it\/?page_id=1804&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"The AggiornaMenti course"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\"http:\/\/wpress.ca.infn.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/AggiornaMenti.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Cagliari Division of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics<\/strong> and the <strong>Department of Physics of the University of Cagliari<\/strong> have decided to propose the <strong>AggiornaMenti<\/strong> course, a physics teaching laboratory for secondary school teachers.<\/p>\n<p>The course aims to transmit an active and collaborative teaching method of science, based on inductive teaching: it starts from the experiment and the observation of phenomena to understand the underlying physical laws.<br \/>\nThe teaching approach of the course is based on &#8220;self-made&#8221; experiments of immediate reproducibility built with low cost and commonly available materials, which allow an inductive teaching even in contexts where the laboratories are scarce.<br \/>\nAt the end of the course professors might ask for the <strong>support of researchers<\/strong> for the realization of an experiment in the classroom.<br \/>\nThe course is recognized as a <strong>training and professional updating activity<\/strong>. At the end of the course a certificate of participation will be issued.<br \/>\nThe course is divided into six didactic laboratories and a final meeting dedicated to clarifications, suggestions and discussion on the results in the different classes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contents<\/strong><br \/>\nThe second edition of Aggiornamenti is organized in six laboratories dedicated to practical demonstrations or experiments to be performed in class on the following topics:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Mechanics. <\/strong>Forces and laws of motion: gravity, principles of dynamics and body equilibrium.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fluids<\/strong>. Pressure, Archimede&#8217;s principle, flotation of bodies. Liquid and gas properties, atmospheric pressure. Principles of flight.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Electricity e magnetism.<\/strong> Electrification and magnetization of bodies. Construction of an electroscope and a compass.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Electric circuits. <\/strong>Conductors and isolators. The use of tester for electric measurements. LED.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The light.<\/strong> Experiments on light properties: light propagation through different means. Reflection, rifraction, lenses, mirrors, optical fibers, interference and polarization. IR and UV light rays.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Interested teachers can sign up to the courses till <strong>September 30th<\/strong>, 2019. The limit on partecipants is fixed at <strong>max 20 persons<\/strong>.
